CEO Blog - 4.7.25

Happy Friday, everyone!

This week has been a fulfilling one as I attended several meetings with our Governors and directors. It has been great to see the strengthening of our leadership and governance at the local level.

I saw real dedication and commitment from everyone.

I also had the opportunity to engage in some intriguing discussions with our Executive Heads regarding the values of the trust.

It has been good to explore how these values align with those of our individual schools.

This relationship is vital for building a cohesive and supportive environment for our students across all sites.

In terms of recruitment, I am pleased to share that on Thursday, we conducted a webinar aimed at informing prospective candidates for the Chief Operating Officer position.

It was encouraging to see such strong interest in our trust from colleagues beyond the education sector. I think this highlights the appeal of our mission and vision.

As we approach the end of the year, I want to take a moment to acknowledge the incredible efforts of both our staff and parents.

Your hard work in preparing our children and young people for their transitions has been invaluable.

I'm also looking forward to more celebrations for what we have achieved together this past year.

Finally this week, I am pleased to share a video showcasing the use of iPads at Samuel Laycock. Here's what the school say about their journey with iPads...

"We are extremely proud of the transformational journey our school has been on over the last 3 years and we believe the iPads have been an integral part in that improvement. Destiny, the MAT's student-led digital production team, have produced this film to showcase the amazing work we do with iPads at Samuel Laycock. Enjoy!"
Thank you for your continued dedication. Have a wonderful weekend.
