CEO Blog - 26.6.26
Hi everyone
It’s been a hot one! Thanks to all our staff who have worked so hard to ensure the children and young people stay safe in such challenging circumstances.
This time of year is always so busy and adding extreme heat does not help, I realise, but I know it doesn’t stop the Care, Trust and Innovation across the Trust.
We had a strong representation at the GMCA conference on Monday and the feedback from external colleagues was exceptionally positive; both staff and students represented us brilliantly within our region.
Today, we wish the groups from Samuel Laycock, New Bridge and Hollinwood well that are headed to Berlin – safe travels to you all and we can’t wait to see the pictures when you get back.
Also today I would like to mention Shirley Woods-Gallagher who is leaving us next week to join Sheffield LA.
Shirley has been with the Trust for four and a half years and she has supported the team through a time of exponential change and growth.
She created so many opportunities for the young people via her significant networks and her passion for inclusive practice has been a golden thread throughout. I know many colleagues will have had the opportunity to wish her well, but on behalf of the trustees I want to thank her for all her hard work and wish her well for her future adventures.
Thankyou, Shirl 😊
I hope you all manage to get some vitamin D this weekend as long as the thunderstorms don’t descend!
Have a great weekend
Clare
