Happy Friday, all

It's been another busy week at New Bridge!

This week, it was great to hear from our Executive Director of Learning & Impact, Michelle Rathor, after her visit to New Bridge Learning Centre. Michelle shared some of her insight with me and I’m delighted to share it more widely.

Michelle spoke about how there is "genuine dedication to learners and such thoughtful commitment to ensuring that every young person can access their curriculum subjects."
This is fantastic to hear, with Michelle also coming away feeling humbled and inspired.
Some of her observations included one staff member's careful planning for accessible participation in DofE and The Calvert Residential, as well as how another colleague is shaping the PE curriculum so meaningfully for children who use wheelchairs.
On top of this, she noted that the use of items such as scented paints and luminous colours are ensuring learners with visual impairments can fully experience and enjoy their lessons.
There were plenty of other positives too, including a general comment about the number of staff volunteers for Calvert, which was significantly above what was required.
Michelle was also full of praise for the leadership team and those supporting from central teams.
It's a joy to hear feedback like this. Thank you to the team at the Learning Centre for all that you do, and thank you to Michelle for sharing her insight.
Elsewhere this week, I have enjoyed visiting both Heywood Academy and Hollinwood Academy, where I have been sharing the newly redefined vision and values of the Trust, alongside the results from the recent Trust survey.
I would also like to extend a warm welcome to Katy Kay, who joins as strategic lead for New Bridge Horizons, our partner organisation.
What a week!
I hope you all have a restful weekend before coming back for more of the same on Monday.
