As we round up another productive week, I wanted to take a moment to share some key highlights.
I enjoyed our trust’s first induction session with colleagues at Samuel Laycock.
It was great to connect with so many passionate individuals who contribute to our community. Your energy sets a wonderful tone for our journey ahead.
I also had the opportunity to visit the beautiful new building at Hawthorns.
Seeing the children actively engaged and happy in their new environment was a brilliant experience.
A massive thank you to our staff teams for your tireless efforts in making this space a reality.
Your hard work has truly paid off and has provided our students with an incredible place to learn and grow.
Can I also thank our parents and families for your trust and patience. You have had to adapt to these changes as well, and your support means we have hit the ground running. Let's keep working together to ensure the long term success of our lovely new building!
I am thrilled to confirm that Laura Millard has been appointed as Executive Head over Hollinwood Academy and Heywood Academy. We look forward to the positive impact she will have as she oversees both schools.
For now, Laura remains focused on Hollinwood Academy whilst the recruitment process begins for a new Headteacher.
Finally, I want to highlight the groundbreaking event for the new Heywood Academy. It was a great occasion, marking the start of something very special for our MAT.
A huge thank you to Tilbury Douglas for their hospitality during the event; your support is greatly appreciated.
And let’s not forget our talented college student Max, whose excellent photography captured the spirit of the day beautifully!
Look out for Max's shots in further updates.
As we move forward, I am looking forward to the exciting partnerships we are building with Rochdale LA, local councillors and the DfE. Together, we are laying the foundation for a project that will make a significant impact in the borough.
I can't wait to see the results of our collective efforts.
