CEO Blog - 15.11.24

Hi everyone,

This week has been filled with inspiring moments and important discussions that align with our mission here at New Bridge MAT.

On Monday, I had the pleasure of being involved in the ASP interviews.

This exciting project not only supports young people in mainstream settings but also opens up internal development opportunities.

It’s rewarding to be part of something that resonates so strongly with the national agenda.

Elsewhere, we’ve had some great discussions regarding New Bridge Horizons. As our numbers continue to grow, understanding the landscape across different boroughs becomes increasingly vital.

This knowledge will guide us in tailoring our strategies to better serve our communities.

This morning, I had a fabulous time visiting our schools.

At Springboard Project, I listened to the powerful story of Sean Sherwood.

The young people were understandably captivated by his story. It was truly inspirational and a reminder of why we do what we do.

I also visited Samuel Laycock, where companies presented to students, showcasing various career opportunities.

It was fantastic to see students from New Bridge College and Springboard Project coming together at Samuel Laycock as well. Our MAT is stronger when we work together!

As we move through this half term, which can be quite challenging due to its length and the time of year (cold, wet, dark...) I want to take a moment to acknowledge the hard work of the staff teams.

The difference they make to our young people and their families is significant. It is truly appreciated.

I hope you all have a lovely weekend.
