CEO Blog - 13.3.26

Happy Friday, all

This week, I want to pass on my thanks to our wonderful staff teams from Spring Brook Upper, Hollinwood Academy and Heywood Academy, for their commitment and enthusiasm on the Disney Trip.

Your efforts are so appreciated and you really make a difference in the lives of our students.

Families, thank you for your trust and support to make these trips become a reality.

At New Bridge MAT, we are extremely proud of this part of our offer.

It's not just about the magic of Disney (although that is very important...)

It's also about the independence skills that our students are able to practice whilst away. We learn so much about them (as they do about themselves) over the course of these trips.

Resilience, confidence, teamwork, patience - these are amongst the life skills our students are able to hone as part of the experience.

Of course, none of this would be possible without our dedicated staff teams. And so, on behalf of the students, families and the whole MAT, I would like to say a huge thank you to you all for making this happen.

Two more of our schools, Samuel Laycock and Thomas Ashton, are set to head off to Disney next week, and I would like to extend the same gratitude to the staff teams there as well.

What a joy it is to work in an organisation full of committed, enthusiastic staff who regularly go above and beyond for our students.

Thank you.

This week, I would also like to share the recent update from World Book Day, which was collated by Executive Director, Michelle Rathor.

It captures a flavour of the variety of themes and activities of World Book Day, from right across the MAT.

Reading is vitally important, and to see it celebrated so widely is wonderful. Well done to all involved.

You can read all about it here:

That's it for this week. I hope you all have a restful weekend.
