Happy Friday, everyone

I had the opportunity to visit Samuel Laycock a couple of times in the last week, one to speak to staff about revisiting the vision and values, and another time to be interviewed by Sean and Finn, who showed great speaking and listening skills as they asked me about my role and what it entailed.

It is great for my wellbeing to stay in touch with our wonderful students.

As is usual this time of year, the residential experiences that have been available in the last few weeks have been fantastic; these have included Haven, Disney, Venice and upcoming is Berlin.

Also this week, Majid Khan was appointed to the central team as procurement manager. We are looking forward to welcoming him in the next few months and I am excited to see how he can support the value for money offer across the trust.
