Assistant Head of School

Overview

We are now looking to recruit to the post of Assistant Head of School to add to our current Senior Leadership Team structure. A core focus of this role will be to ensure the strategic direction of the careers programme and personal development (including RSHE) at Springboard Project.

The successful candidate will have:

· Experience of leading a team within a school environment

· Be fully up to date with pedagogy and research in delivering high quality experiences to SEMH young people

· Experience of reporting on data and identifying patterns as well as recommending solutions to enhance the area of responsibility

· Experience of developing options and alternatives that will support young people to engage in the learning process

· Experience of current assessment practice and the use of data and pupil progress tracking to ensure that all learners achieve

· A genuine appreciation of the potential barriers to a pupil’s learning, and sensitivity towards their circumstances and life experiences

· High expectations of young people, and a commitment to raising standards of attainment to ensure that they can achieve their full educational potential
