CEO's Blog - 17th March 2023 'Thank You!' Well, if you've been following the updates on social media this week, you might just have noticed that almost 100 of our young people have been lucky enough to travel to Disneyland Paris. A trip that started on Monday...

We are looking for our next CEO…
We are looking for our next CEO... It's probably been the worst kept secret for a while, but I'm writing my blog this week to let everyone know that we are actively looking for the next CEO of the New Bridge Multi Academy Group and MAT. After many years working as...
CEO’s Blog – Student Voice (24th February 2023)
CEO's Blog - Student Voice (24th February 2023) A few weeks ago, before the half term break, I said I would be reporting on how we listen to the Student Voice across our MAT and wider Group. Well, this week, I'm able to do just that, as some of our schools and...
I joined the New Bridge School Governing Body in 2008 as a parent governor and live a short walk away from the school. I have a particular interest in ‘transitions’ and it is my belief that as our young people become adults, the school should be preparing all of them for employment and life in the real world. The pathways such as Bridging the Gap, Hortus, Lumenus and the IT and Sports pathways are examples of how this outstanding school does make a difference in our young people’s lives.
As part of my role as Trustee, I chair the Audit Committee which regularly scrutinises the financial and other processes within the Trust. I also sit on the Pay Committee, the Disciplinary Committee and I am the GDPR Officer.
Outside the MAT, I sit on Oldham’s Learning Disability Partnership Board as a family member and I also work with the Greater Manchester Health and Social Care Partnership as part of both their Programme Development Group and their Supported Employment Group.
I believe that schools and colleges should be ensuring young people are ‘work and life ready’. I value my work as a Trustee in an organisation that realises the importance of outcomes and supports our young people to achieve their full potential.
