CEO's Blog - 17th March 2023 'Thank You!' Well, if you've been following the updates on social media this week, you might just have noticed that almost 100 of our young people have been lucky enough to travel to Disneyland Paris. A trip that started on Monday...
CEO’s Blog (10th March 2023)
CEO's Blog (10th March 2023) It was International Women's Day this week, and it was great to see our schools and settings marking the occasion with their activities and learning opportunities. Of course, we shouldn't only celebrate our women and girls for just...
We are looking for our next CEO…
We are looking for our next CEO... It's probably been the worst kept secret for a while, but I'm writing my blog this week to let everyone know that we are actively looking for the next CEO of the New Bridge Multi Academy Group and MAT. After many years working as...
CEO’s Blog – Student Voice (24th February 2023)
CEO's Blog - Student Voice (24th February 2023) A few weeks ago, before the half term break, I said I would be reporting on how we listen to the Student Voice across our MAT and wider Group. Well, this week, I'm able to do just that, as some of our schools and...
CEO’s Blog – 14th October 2022
Just one week until half term. Where does the time go?
This time of year sees plenty of change happening all around us, and our Trust seems to be changing all the time too.
Of course, we maintain a steadfast commitment to the children and young people we educate and care for, but we’re always looking at exciting new ways that we can bring innovation and inspiration to our offer.
The move that will take place at New Bridge School after the February half term is one of those exciting changes…
Pupils on the Key Stage 4 Pathways will move to a newly developed site in Oldham Town Centre, where opportunities for learners will be strengthened, as will existing partnerships with the College.
I know that Mr Lyons will be hosting an information session next week, which will provide parents with reassurance about the move, showing them the types of opportunities that will be made possible.
Sticking with New Bridge School and the opportunities for the pupils there, it was wonderful to see so many of our pupils heading to watch Demon Dentist by David Walliams this week…
…even managing to meet him by the looks of things.
How’s that for an opportunity?!
Congratulations must also go to the school on their Gold Signalong status, which was confirmed this week.
This comes after the news a few weeks ago, that Spring Brook Lower has been recognised as an ADHD Friendly School.
We really are always changing it seems.
Changing for the better and for the good of the young people we support.
Whatever you’re doing this weekend please try and stay safe. I’m hoping to get to the AFC Bury Vs York game – I’m starting to get the “bug” again!
