CEO's Blog - 17th March 2023 'Thank You!' Well, if you've been following the updates on social media this week, you might just have noticed that almost 100 of our young people have been lucky enough to travel to Disneyland Paris. A trip that started on Monday...
CEO’s Blog (10th March 2023)
CEO's Blog (10th March 2023) It was International Women's Day this week, and it was great to see our schools and settings marking the occasion with their activities and learning opportunities. Of course, we shouldn't only celebrate our women and girls for just...
We are looking for our next CEO…

CEO’s Blog – Student Voice (24th February 2023)
CEO's Blog - Student Voice (24th February 2023) A few weeks ago, before the half term break, I said I would be reporting on how we listen to the Student Voice across our MAT and wider Group. Well, this week, I'm able to do just that, as some of our schools and...
Chicago Day 13
Day 13 in Chicago and as our trip comes to an end, our students had a full day at Gurnee Mall! They went off in groups to do a few hours shopping to pick up gifts and souvenirs to take home. We then all went off for lunch together in the food court before heading to the cinema to see Spider-Man!
On our way home we stopped by our favourite store- Target! Students picked up some more shopping and treats and then it was back to the hotel for an early night.
We have a fun final day of site seeing planned for tomorrow where we will be visiting the Shed Aquarium and the Field museum.
We’re just so sad that it’s all coming to an end…
…but…
…how’s this for a parting letter from one of our hosts?!
Dear Gents,
On behalf of the Ridgewood crew, I just wanted to take a moment to wish your team safe passage across the pond. We hope you return safely and find your loved ones well. I feel we forged an iron-clad friendship with the New Bridge team and your beautiful students, whom we all fell in love with. We are heading into our spring break, and I am sure FiFi, who is taking a road trip to Florida, is still crying all the way!
I hope you were able to realize the vision you set to complete so many months ago. So again, thank you for including our “little high school” in your plan. As I shared with Richard and Gavin on Friday, you helped make us better, stronger and widened our scope.
On a personal note, I have had a long and varied career both in the private and public sectors, and I was involved in many projects and initiatives, both large scale and small. However, my involvement with New Bridge and the Touring Project will be remembered as the diamond in the crown of a life’s work in public education.
Safe Travels!
Fondly, Mike – Food pusher to the mother land!
