Day 3 in Chicago!
Day 3 in Chicago was incredible! Our first day working alongside Ridgewood High School and we had the most amazing welcome.
The school band played the national anthem as we arrived, the whole school were there to greet us on the corridors and they provided an incredible space for us to start the app design project with welcome treats, banners and national flags.
A truly amazing welcome!
The day only got better from there too. We ran three workshops with some fun ice breakers where the students really bonded and made friends immediately. Then students broke off into teams and researched different apps and then started to brainstorm ideas for their own app. Some fantastic ideas started to emerge with students coming up to the front and sharing their thoughts with the whole group. We have app ideas that are for the student enterprise, apps for school, security alarm apps, apps that convert information into a formatted CV, or as they like to refer to them in the states a ‘resume’. This is just the beginning. We go to the Apple HQ tomorrow in the city centre where we start to develop our ideas even further.
In the evening we took a trip to Medieval Times where we feasted on food from the medieval era and watched knights battle for sport.
The students loved it!
We took our colleagues and peers from Ridgewood with us and everyone had a wonderful time!
We’re only on day 3 and it has been incredible. Bring on day 4!
