CEO Blog - 17.11.23 This week has been another busy week for all of us at New Bridge, and I'm proud of our staff teams for pulling together and continuing to offer our students and young people the very best, even when it's already dark by the time most of them are...

CEO Blog (3.11.23) – Welcome Back
CEO Blog (3.11.23) - Welcome Back To everyone who has just had half term, I want to say, 'welcome back', and that I hope you had the opportunity to spend some quality time with friends and family over the break. This first term is usually the toughest, and the October...
Hi everyone,
A shorter blog than usual this week.
I wrote a small piece in our MAT newsletter (available here) that thanked the staff teams for “chalking off” another half term.
Who’d have thought a little over 12 months ago that all our worlds would be turned upside down.
From conversations we had last week all our schools are busy preparing the “road map” for a full return to face to face teaching.
I’m confident that this can, and will, happen over the course of the next few weeks. I’m also hopeful that as a result of the majority of the staff being prioritised as “essential staff” we can avoid the closure of bubbles etc. etc.
A good news story this week. I received an email from one of our ex students. This young woman worked her way through New Bridge School before moving onto Lumenus. She then received a place at Salford University before last week graduating with a 2:1. I am so proud of her. She’s busily applying to be a script writer and I am certain with her determination she will absolutely succeed. I’m hoping we can share some of these stories with you in a future publication. Watch this space.
Anyway, short and sweet.
Have a great half term,
Graham
