The current teaching opportunities available are listed below and the closing date for all teaching applications is Sunday 28th April.

New Bridge School

  • (NBS 1) – Food Technology
    An opportunity for a qualified teacher with experience in delivering food technology. Experience of working within an SEN setting is preferred. This role will be working across at least two schools within the MAT.
  • (NBS 2) – Outdoor Education
    An opportunity for a qualified teacher with experience of delivering outdoor education. A knowledge and experience of delivering DofE would be preferred. The role would be working with students with a range of abilities and physical needs including PMLD and ASC.
  • (NBS 3) – Physical Education
    An opportunity for a qualified PE teacher to work with our sports pathway groups and deliver PE to pupils with a range of SEN needs.
  • (NBS 4) – Communication Group
    Opportunities for qualified teachers to work within our primary model communication classes. Experience of working within primary or early years is essential. SEN experience is preferred.
  • (NBS 5) – English
    An opportunity for a qualified English teacher who can deliver English up to GCSE level.
  • (NBS 6) – Living Skills
    An opportunity for a qualified teacher who has knowledge and experience of the primary PSHE curriculum. The role will include delivering home, self, travel and relationship education. This role may include working across the sites within New Bridge School.
  • (NBS 7) – Autism Base
    An opportunity for a qualified teacher who has experience of working with complex autistic young people, who are working at a primary level.
  • (NBS 8) – Computing/IT
    An opportunity for a qualified ICT teacher to work with pupils in the Digit4ll pathway and the main body of the school. An awareness of basic skills resources (i.e. Clicker and 2Simple) is essential. Delivery of computing accreditation is desirable. Knowledge and experience of computer programming with resources such as Scratch, Sphero or Lego robotics is desirable. Experience of working on dual platforms. 1:1 iPad school experience of Apple devices is essential.
  • (NBS 9) – Maternity Cover
    An opportunity for a qualified primary teacher with experience of delivering English and a PSHE curriculum at a primary level.

New Bridge Learning Centre

  • (LC 1) – Communication Group
    An opportunity for a primary or early years qualified teacher to work within a communication group. The students within the group are post 16, working at a primary level. SEN experience is preferred.
  • (LC 2) – Food Technology
    An opportunity for a food technology deliverer, either a qualified teacher or HLTA to work with post 16 students delivering food technology and food industry. SEN experience preferred.
  • (LC 3) – Computing/IT
    An opportunity for a qualified ICT teacher to work with students with a range of complex and physical needs including PMLD and ASC. The students are working within the primary curriculum and access a range of ICT equipment to engage and access the curriculum. A knowledge or awareness of the range of access methods including switches, touch screen, touch pads, eye gaze, speech recognition is desirable. Experience of Windows and iPads is essential.

Medtia Square (Oldham Town Centre)

  • (MED 1) – English and Employability
    An opportunity for a qualified teacher to deliver English and Employability with our post 16 students. Experience of delivering English up to GCSE is essential.
  • (MED 2) – Employability
    An opportunity for a deliverer (TA4 or equivalent) of Employability across KS4 and KS5 at New Bridge School, Learning Centre and Medtia. Experience of Open Awards delivery would be preferred. SEN experience preferred.

Hollinwood Academy

  • (HWA 1) – Primary Nurture Group
    An opportunity for a qualified primary teacher to work within a Nurture Group to deliver a holistic and academic curriculum. Experience of working with young people with ASC and challenging behaviours is desirable.
  • (HWA 2) – KS3 Nurture Group
    An opportunity for a qualified primary teacher to work within a Nurture Group to deliver a holistic and academic curriculum. Experience of working with young people with ASC and challenging behaviours is desirable.
  • (HWA 3) – Primary
    We have several opportunities within our primary classes and KS3 static class:

    • There are opportunities for three qualified teacher posts for primary specialist with preferred experience of working with pupils with ASC.
    • There are opportunities for two teacher posts for primary specialist who have experience of working with pupils with ASC; the candidates must have experience and training in using PECS.

Spring Brook Upper School KS3

  • (SBU 1)
    An opportunity for four primary specialist qualified teachers to work with KS3 pupils within static groups. Experience of SEN, in particular SEMH and working with complex pupils is desirable.
  • (SBU 2)
    An opportunity for a part time 0.6 Design Technology teacher to work with KS3 pupils. Experience of using specialist equipment within the design technology curriculum is essential. Experience of SEN, in particular SEMH and working with complex pupils is desirable.

Hawthorns School

  • (HAW 1)
    An opportunity for a qualified primary teacher (QTS), with experience and knowledge of working within either Early Years or Key Stage 1. Experience of working with SEN pupils is desirable.
  • (HAW 2)
    An opportunity for two qualified primary teachers (QTS), SEN experience desirable.

Springboard Project KS4/KS5

  • (SPT 1) – Computing/ICT
    An opportunity for a qualified teacher or a TA4 (equivalent) to deliver an exciting computing and technology curriculum. This role will require knowledge or experience of a range of multimedia technology including graphic design, animation, video editing, web/app development. An interest and awareness of VR technology is also desirable.
    Experience of SEN, in particular SEMH and working with complex students is desirable.
    This role will be based at the new Springboard Project in Oldham town centre but there may be a requirement to work at other schools within the MAT.
  • (SPT 2) – Maths
    An opportunity for a qualified Maths teacher who has experience in delivering Functional Skills and up to GCSE. Experience of SEN, in particular SEMH and working with complex students is desirable.
    This role will be based at the new Springboard Project in Oldham town centre but there may be a requirement to work with other post 16 students within the MAT.
  • (SPT 3) – English
    An opportunity for a 0.6 qualified English teacher who is experienced in delivering Functional Skills. Experience of SEN, in particular SEMH and working with complex students is desirable. This role will be based at the new Springboard Project in Oldham town centre.
