The end of another school year.
They seem to fly by so fast.
It’s been another week of celebration – for lots of reasons.
I had the pleasure of attending the Royal Oldham Hospital Bridging the Gap graduation ceremony earlier in the week.
After some of the frustrations of the previous week, this has been one of celebration that was tempered with some dreadful news that we all heard on Friday.
First of all, the celebrations.
Sometimes writing my blog can be quite cathartic – this week is one of those.
Most of the time school leadership is rewarding, fulfilling, stimulating and challenging.
Well, we nearly got our wish! Last week I blogged that I hoped that Ofsted visited New Bridge. Guess what, same inspection different school.
I spent most of this week working alongside Oldham local authority.
As you will recall, Oldham is classified by central government as being an ‘Opportunity Area’.
Hi all, welcome back to the final half term of the year.
I’m writing my blog a day earlier than usual to give you my perspective on the Panorama programme that aired last night on the BBC.
To say that I was shocked wouldn’t be accurate.
That’s how we do it in Oldham!!
I’ve had the absolute privilege of spending 4 days with the most amazing group of people.
It’s official – Hawthorns is outstanding (again).
